Where in the World is Fr. Howard? Reverend Howard R. Adkins, 62, will become parochial vicar at Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Baton Rouge. He is a native of Iota, Louisiana. Ordained in 2007, Father Adkins has served since that time as parochial vicar of the clustered parishes of St. Anne in Napoléonville, Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Plattenville, and St. Philomena in Labadieville. Father Miles D. Walsh is the pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Parish.
Reverend Michael J. Alello,
28, will be the new parochial vicar at
St. John the
Evangelist Parish in Prairieville, where he will serve under its
pastor, Father Eric V. Gyan. Another priest of the ordination class
of 2007 and a native of Baton Rouge, Father Alello's first priestly
assignment was as parochial vicar of the clustered parishes of
St. Michael the
Archangel in Convent,
Most Sacred
Heart of Jesus in Gramercy, and
St. Joseph
in Paulina. |
